Practicums

The High Impact Prevention (HIP) program collaborates with the University of Florida’s practicums in many programs, such as health disparities and public health, to provide students with on-the-field experience and skills. In this practicum, students plan and execute testing events, administer HIV tests to individuals in the community, provide outreach and education, deliver to Business Responds to AIDS partners, and more across North Central Florida.

Each student is required to schedule an interview and attend orientation. After the orientation, the student will need to complete the HIV 501 live course at the Department of Health.

The goal for this practicum site is for each student to leave with professional and personal growth that will help with their future endeavors.
